We are a company dedicated to the cultivation of coffee. Work on our farms allows the livelihood of more than 30 people at peak season in the year. We aid with purified water, help the local schools, provide for bedding arrangements and kitchens during our harvest as well as have health clinics come to the farms in order to insure the wellbeing of our workers. Our people come first.
K-Fe also has water collection tanks in multiple points across the farm in order to collect rainwater to use throughout the year. The energy used for the Mandador’s office and the Roaster’s Cabin comes from solar panels as well in order to reduce our carbon footprint.
We protect and help preserve the flora and fauna of our land which includes the hosting of 7+ types of endangered tree varieties across the farm. Living barriers, usually made up of the Izote Plant, provide great aid in order to prevent erosion and promote soil conservation.
We make good part of our own compost from the organic material recollected in the farm be it from the dead barriers, weeds and other organic materials in order to nurture our soil with local materials and promote better microbial life.
